Doctors’ union decides against appointing new chief executive
Council quietly votes in favour of chief operating officer Susan Clyne
The council of the Irish Medical Organisation (IMO) has decided not to appoint a chief executive.
Instead, the council quietly voted in favour of chief operating officer Susan Clyne taking on the top role at the doctors’ union. They agreed to subsume the role of CEO into the COO post.
The IMO denied that any changes were afoot at the organisation, but a number of sources confirmed the move.
