Until recently, entrepreneurship was not nurtured at third level. But third-level institutions have responded to demand and there is now a wide range of programmes available which incorporate entrepreneurship and innovation.

Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) is leading the way and is one of the top third-level Irish institutions in terms of student entrepreneurship.
