Dublin-born Miriam McConnon is a graduate of the National School of Fine Arts of Ireland and completed a postgraduate diploma at the Cyprus College of Art in Lempa, Cyprus.

Her work deals with themes such as the displacement of people due to war, the personal narratives of conflict, and the struggle of refugees to establish a safe home after a war.
