What do Kim Jong-un, distributed ledgers and animated axolotls have in common? Quite a lot it turns out; all three played a role in the largest cryptocurrency breach of all time. In March this year, Axie Infinity, a blockchain-based game where players collect the aforementioned axolotls, was compromised by Lazarus, a North Korean state-sponsored hacking group, which made off with $625 million (€600 million) in cryptocurrency.
