More Irish consumers ready to move to 5G

One in five smartphone users in Ireland is planning to upgrade to 5G over the next 12 months, according to a study that shows 5G subscriptions have more than doubled since 2020.

The report, which comes from Ericsson, shows that 5G accounted for 8 per cent of all mobile subscriptions locally at the end of the first quarter of 2022.
