Back-up and storage: Looking forward by backing up

The data is the business and even if the slogan is new, the fact that businesses run on information is not. But given the threat to operations from hackers and external events, what can businesses do to ensure their data remains available at all times?

No one likes backing up data. It’s a tedious process, administrative in nature and, at least until recently, is surprisingly complex. Little wonder then that so few of us bother to do it: according to a 2021 survey conducted by Backblaze, only 11 per cent of computer users backed up daily, and 54.5 per cent never backed up at all.
