ESB says it made no money from residential customers as profits surge to €847m
The company said the rise was due to the impact of higher wholesale prices on other parts of it business
ESB, the semi-state organisation, has reported an operating profit before exceptional items of €847 million for 2022, up from €679 million in 2021.
The company said the increase in profits was primarily due to the impact of higher wholesale prices in its Generation and Trading businesses both in Ireland and Britain.
