Viatel Technology Group, Ireland’s leading digital services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Niamh Mangan, who joins the firm from her role as audit director with KPMG.

Gina Laverty, chief financial officer at Viatel, warmly welcomed Niamh to the team. “She brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge from her career to date,” she said. “Her understanding of how companies operate at their best will be a key enabler as Viatel continues to accelerate along our growth path.”

Paul Rellis, chief executive, Viatel, said: “We are delighted to welcome Niamh to the Viatel team. We are rapidly scaling our business and we see more and more growth opportunities nationally and internationally. It is hugely important that we have the right people in place to give us a firm foundation to support our expansion and to continue to take the best care of our customers on this journey.”

Mangan, a chartered accountant and graduate of the University of Limerick, takes on her new role with immediate effect. Commenting on her appointment, Mangan said: “I am excited to join a dynamic company like Viatel with an impressive track record and such an appetite to evolve and grow.”

Mangan’s appointment follows hot on the heels of the acquisition of Dublin-based IT Services firm supportIT by the Viatel Technology Group. The deal was the seventh of its kind completed by Viatel in just two years and follows the acquisition of digital transformation services provider Action Point and connectivity service provider WiFiber earlier in 2022. While no financial details of these deals have been disclosed, Viatel Technology Group revenues are now approaching €70 million annually.

Viatel is a leading independent provider of connectivity, cloud, security, managed services and software solutions. Top class customer service and support are the bedrock of Viatel’s success in helping businesses achieve end-to-end digital transformation. Viatel is a Deloitte Best Managed Company and now employs over 275 people with locations in Dublin, Dundalk and Limerick.
