The Irish coffee industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the retail industry with impressive turnovers, a loyal customer base and continued growth. And over the next five to ten years, we can expect to see the growth of branded chains and artisan coffee shops continuing to rise, making joining the industry a high-reward investment.

As Esquires Coffee is a leading coffee franchise which has been paving the way for ethical and sustainable coffee stores for over 25 years, Tony McVerry. Managing Director, Ireland and Europe says the brand offers an ideal opportunity for franchisees.

“Each of our stores is unique and embraces that independent spirit which keeps customers coming back for more,” he said. “Serving ethical, quality coffee with a focus on people and the planet is at the heart of what we do.

“Our loyal customers love visiting our stores time and time again because people love coffee, but a good coffee shop experience is much more than a tasty brew.

“Nowadays, customers are seeking social spaces with great ambience. They want a place where they can relax, work and sit back with delicious food and beverages – all something our Esquires coffee shops provide.”

There are many opportunities available and Esquires is currently seeking expressions of interest from potential franchise owners to open a marquee store in the affluent town of Skerries later this year.

“Owning your own business is a thrilling prospect, allowing you the opportunity to take control of your career, face new challenges and, most importantly, reap great personal rewards,” McVerry said. “So why not enter this exciting new phase of your life with the ongoing support of a successful, trusted and fast growing brand - Esquires Coffee is not just a brand; it is a well-developed franchise system that, as we have already proven, is adaptable to many different models and markets.”

The company will provide a bespoke solution for every partner’s needs, which includes full training, assistance with site selection and procurement, store design, lease negotiation, menu design, developed specific to the marketplace, marketing, opening and consistent ongoing support.

“We want to hear from people who have the ability to make the most of the potential the brand offers,” he said.

“Our success depends on our franchisees, so we make sure that we’ve got the right people – and we do everything we can to make sure they have all the support they need. We look after them, they look after us. It’s all part of being a family. Simple.

“It takes a special person to be an Esquires franchisee. Commitment to quality and service, is a pre-requisite, but a business founded on customer service needs a warm and welcoming personality too – so while experience in catering or retail helps, the person matters more.

“So it’s a two way thing - in return for your commitment you’ll get first class training, a carefully selected location, great product and a distinctive brand.

“You’ll also be able to work together with us to develop your coffee house in tune with your own customer’s needs.

“You’re never alone, you’ve got all our years of experience to draw upon wherever you need it, not forgetting that of the wider franchisee community too.”
