A year ago, the government launched the Construction 2020 blueprint. But has it lived up to its stated aims so far?
In May of last year, the government launched its Construction 2020 strategy. The need for a strategic approach to support the recovery of the construction and property sector was highlighted in 2012 by Forfás, in a report which evaluated the extent of the crisis in the sector and set out measures to support recovery and avoid repeating mistakes of past excesses.
