Up to 35,000 Bank of Ireland customers impacted by error on KBC mortgage transfers

Bank of Ireland has contacted approximately 35,000 mortgage holders admitting an error that could result in those customers being denied loans during the time it takes to amend it.

In a statement, the bank said it had incorrectly inputted the start date for the mortgages and, as such, did not submit the mortgage details to the Central Credit Register (CCR) for February and March.
