Smurfit Kappa increases dividends despite decline in profits

Revenue for the first half of 2023 was €5.8 billion, down 9 per cent on the same period last year

Paper packaging company Smurfit Kappa has increased its interim dividend by 6 per cent to 33.5 cent per share.

It comes as the company reported a decline in revenue and operating profits for the first half of this year.

Revenue for the first half of 2023 was €5.8 billion, down 9 per cent on the first half of 2022 or 7 per cent lower on an underlying basis, according to interim results from the group.
