Shares in EML surge after winding down of Irish subsidiary

Shares in Aussie fintech EML Payments rose sharply in trading on Thursday as investors reacted positively to news the company has liquidated its troubled Irish subsidiary.

PFS Card Services (Ireland) Limited ceased trading on Wednesday after its parent opted to wind the business down.

Shares in EML jumped by more than a third in early trading before closing up almost 20 per cent on the ASX.
