Racing TV privately chastised James Browne, junior minister at the Department of Justice, after he disputed claims that planned gambling curbs would seriously damage the country’s racing industry.

The subscription-based television station has repeatedly warned that it may pull out of Ireland if the Gambling Regulation Bill – which will impose sweeping reforms on the industry – is passed in its present format.
