Phil Hogan: Economic and immigration pressures could force Leo Varadkar into June election

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar could call a general election as early as June, due a worsening economy and the politics of immigration, Phil Hogan has said.

The former minister and former European Commissioner also told an event in Dublin that Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil have “every chance” of winning the next election and being back in government, if they “stick together” and “transfer to each other”.
