Over 28,500 abortions in Ireland since 2018 referendum, pro-life rally told

March For Life hears criticism of “very liberal” recommendations contained in recently released independent report into Ireland’s abortion laws

The number of abortions rose by 25% in the past year, an anti-abortion rally in Dublin has heard.

Several thousands of people attended the so-called ‘March for Life’ demonstration in the capital from St Stephen’s Green to Leinster House.

Protestors heard criticism of “extreme” recommendations which would further liberalise Ireland’s laws following the publication of a review of how the laws have been operating, conducted by barrister Marie O’Shea.
