Micheál Martin contradicts claim from Women of Honour that terms won’t be finalised without group’s approval
The Tánaiste has denied telling the Women of Honour group that he would not proceed on terms of reference for an inquiry into the Defence Forces without its approval.
The group - which offers support for former and current female Defence Force members who allege they were abused in the military - has dismissed the planned state inquiry as a “pointless exercise” if the current terms of reference are not expanded.
