Landlords selling led to 13,500 homes ‘lost’ from Ireland’s rental market last year

Some 13,500 homes were “lost” from Ireland’s rental market last year after landlords sold up, Sherry Fitzgerald has said.

In its latest property market review, the estate agent said there had been 58,400 residential property sales in 2022.

Of these, it estimated that 21,000 transactions involved investors leaving the market.
