Labour Party leader Ivana Bacik calls for €1 billion of corporation tax windfall to be used for new homes
The party is warning that the lack of extra investment in housing is hampering the economy
Ivana Bacik, the Labour leader, has called for an extra €1 billion of the corporation tax windfall to be spent on social and affordable housing.
She is also calling for a further €275 million to be spent in the budget to ensure that there is a monthly €200 cap on childcare fees for parents in next month’s budget.
