Kainos uses AI to help safeguard vulnerable children

Belfast-based tech firm has collaborated with the National Crime Agency to protect at-risk youngsters

Kainos, the Irish technology company, has said that using AI has helped to significantly cut the amount of time that the National Crime Agency in UK takes to deal with referrals regarding children at risk.

Speaking to the Business Post, new chief executive Russell Sloan, said its technology has allowed the NCA to cut referral times down to just 2 minutes from 45 minutes previously.
