Jane McDaid: The Body Shop got so many things right, but dropped the ball on innovation

The brand should have been a favourite of young, savvy shoppers, but failed to connect with them in a meaningful way

Beauty has always been big business, but right now, the category is poised for exceptional growth. In 2023, the global beauty market, including skincare, fragrance, make-up and haircare, was worth around $430 billion in revenue, and is expected to reach approximately $580 billion by 2027.
