Irish fintech Wayflyer strikes $1bn financing deal
Company has partnered with investment firm Neuberger Berman on new deal as it looks to scale in US
Wayflyer, the Irish fintech that provides loans to e-commerce companies, has struck a $1 billion (€930 million) financing deal with US-based investment firm Neuberger Berman.
The deal is set to help Wayflyer to grow its activities in the US, which accounts for approximately 60 per cent of its profits.
The deal is structured as an off-balance sheet programme that will purchase up to $1 billion of assets from funds managed by Neuberger Berman.
