Ireland’s position as the global centre of aircraft leasing could be threatened by the government’s plans to implement a new corporate tax rate, an influential lobby group has warned.

Irish aviation lessors, which collectively manage $100 billion-worth of assets and 60 per cent of the world’s leased aircraft, are concerned that elements of the new global corporate tax agreement could impede their ability to reduce their tax bills in Ireland.
