Eamon Ryan has agreed that Ireland is not delivering new infrastructure quick enough, but said that the government was still fighting “the last war” of underinvestment after the financial crash.

The Minister for Transport was responding to James O’Connor, the Fianna Fáil TD, who raised a Business Post special report from last weekend, which detailed how “Gridlocked Ireland” was failing to deliver urgent infrastructure across energy, water, housing and transport.
