Dublin City Council submits proposals to radically change Meath Street

The street, in Dublin’s Liberties, is set to be made more welcoming to the public

Outdoor seating, trees and more lighting are proposed for Dublin’s Meath Street, as part of a radical plan by Dublin City Council (DCC) to refurbish the street in the Liberties.

The council has submitted a planning application for proposed improvements which are being developed under the Liberties Greening Strategy. Under the proposal, footpaths will be widened while more crossing points will be provided.
