Development of offshore wind sector could save consumers ‘hundreds of millions’ of euro

The development of Ireland's offshore wind energy sector will save Irish households "hundreds of millions of euro" a year, the Department of Energy has said.

Eamon Ryan's department said consumers would benefit financially from the sector's development as it came under fire from a Fine Gael MEP for not delivering progress quick enough.
