Decline in house building softened last month

Activity in the Irish construction sector fell for the seventh consecutive month, but showed some promise of improvement, a new analysis has shown.

The headline BNP Paribas Real Estate Ireland Construction Total Activity Index for January - which tracks changes in the total volume of construction activity compared with one month previously - remained below the crucial no-change 50.0 at 45.9.
