Crypto exchange Kraken secures e-money licence

Move comes five months after Kraken successfully registered with the Central Bank of Ireland as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP)

Kraken, the cryptocurrency exchange, has secured an e-money licence from the Central Bank of Ireland, allowing the company to expand its services across the European Union.

The move comes just fice months after the company’s Irish subsidary was registered as a virtual asset service provider (Vasp) by the financial regulator.
