Dublin City Council has dismissed proposals for a public lido at George’s Dock after its own plans for a white water rafting course at the site were rejected by councillors more than two years ago.

A campaign to build public swimming pools and facilities at the disused dry dock in the Docklands were presented to officials earlier this year but were met with disapproval because of a lack of detail provided.
