Cork named as one of the ‘most innovative rising cities’ in Europe
Judges said: Cork “is a place that does not settle for second-best, nor necessarily for the status quo, but instead seeks to disruptively explore what’s possible”
Cork has been named as a runner-up in a competition to find the most innovative rising city in Europe.
The city, which is home to several leading tech companies, including Everseen, Teamwork and Keelvar, was placed below Linkoping in Sweden and Padova in Italy, in the ‘European Rising Innovative City’ category at the European Capital of Innovation Awards.
