Contract row between national children’s hospital and contractor flares up after months of failed negotiations

A legal dispute between the multi-billion euro National Children’s Hospital and the main contractor working on the project has re-entered the High Court’s commercial list after nearly two years of settlement talks broke down.

The National Paediatric Hospital Development Board (NPHDB) is suing BAM Building Ltd over contract issues. It wants the High Court to declare that its instruction to commence certain works for the hospital in January 2019 was valid and legally binding.
