Completion of senior barrister’s probe into An Bord Pleanála delayed for a fourth time

The planning authority said the investigation of 300 case decisions will be presented to the chairperson next month

There have been several internal and external reviews focused on practices at An Bord Pleanála since 2022

Completion of a probe into decision making on 300 planning cases at An Bord Pleanála has been delayed for a fourth time, the authority has confirmed.

A statement released by the planning board said that Lorna Lynch SC, who was hired by the body to conduct the probe, has confirmed an extension is required.
