The Companies Registration Office (CRO) has received more than €20 million in fees since 2020 from firms that have been late filing annual returns, new figures show.

The CRO, which is the central repository of public information on all registered Irish companies, charges an immediate €100 late fee to firms that miss the deadline for filing their results with the agency.
