CergenX secures extra €1.2m for AI-based baby brain scanning software

UCC spinout company has developed a technology that can more easily test for brain abnormalities in newborn babies

CergenX, a Cork-based medtech firm that is developing AI-powered brain screening for newborn babies, has raised an additional €1.2 million from backers to further develop the technology.

Founded in 2021 by a group of scientists and software engineers, the University College Cork spinout is seeking to make brain health monitoring part of standard screening for newborn babies.
