Phone tower operator Cellnex eyes €1bn sale of Irish assets

Cellnex, the Spanish-headquartered mobile phone tower operator is weighing up plans to exit the Irish market, its chief executive has confirmed.

The company’s Irish assets are estimated to be worth at least €1 billion.

Cellnex spent €600 million acquiring Three-owner CK Hutchison's Irish telecoms towers and sites in early 2021 as part of a wider €10 billion deal.
