Cash-rich trophy hunters move on prime high street assets

Recent investment activity suggests early movers, encouraged by the stabilisation of values and rents, are looking to snap up bargains

Private investors are purchasing commercial property investments in the Irish market as they snap up smaller lot sizes worth less than €10 million and take advantage of the drop in prices and increases in yields. Investors bought as much as €170 million-worth of commercial property in the first quarter of this year, which compares with only €145 million in the whole 12 months of 2022, according to a market analysis by Savills.
