Michael Stanley, the chief executive of Cairn Homes, has been appointed as a director of Ibec, the business lobby group.

Documents lodged with the Companies Registration Office on Tuesday show that Stanley, chief of one of Ireland’s biggest developers, was appointed as a director of the lobby group in January.

Ibec confirmed to the Business Post that Stanley had been appointed to its board following a nominations process – joining Irish business heavyweights such as Meta’s Anne O’Leary – as well as the group’s national council.
