Ash dieback causing delays at hurley maker Torpey

One of Ireland’s most popular hurley manufacturers is facing issues with the “variability of quality“ of some of its hurls due to ash dieback disease.

Torpey, based in Clare, is not currently accepting online orders for ash hurleys, with traditional sticks only available in-store at its Sixmilebridge base in the months since Christmas.
