You’d be forgiven for thinking that lining out for Ireland was the pinnacle of Andrew Trimble’s career, but he believes the success of his start-up is up there with it.

The former Ireland and Ulster player’s sports tech company, Kairos, was recently acquired for £15 million (€17.5 million) and he believes it is an achievement that compares with the highs of his 13-year sporting career.

“I never thought that anything could compete with playing, but the experience in building Kairos has been beyond what I would have ever imagined,” Trimble told the Business Post.
