Almost €1m in examiner and legal fees sought after failed plan to rescue Mac Interiors

An accountant is seeking nearly €1 million in legal and professional fees arising from an unsuccessful rescue plan for Mac Interiors, the Newry-based construction and fit out firm.

Kieran Wallace, managing director of Interpath Advisory, wants the High Court to approve payment of over €411,000 for his team’s fees, as well as over €538,000 in legal fees, out of the assets of Mac, which is now in liquidation. The fees are inclusive of Vat.
