Accenture to cut almost 900 Irish jobs

Lay-offs will reduce firm’s headcount in Ireland by 14 per cent

Accenture plans to cut 890 staff from its Irish operation, reducing the firm’s headcount in Ireland by 14 per cent.

The consultancy business, which employs 6,500 staff in Ireland, says it has already notified employees of the lay-offs.

The news comes months after the firm series of actions to streamline its operations, including the departure of around 2.5 per cent of its current global workforce.
