Why is it that, despite the demand for rental accommodation, the Irish property market remains unresponsive?
Crisis may seem like a dramatic word, but we are certainly in the midst of a chronic shortage of property to rent, especially in the urban centres.
It seems we bounce from one calamity to another in the housing market. Undoubtedly, it is a complex market, yet as soon as the 2011 Census was published, the current supply shortage was entirely predicable.
