There was hand-wringing and warnings for older people, babies, cars, trains and dogs this week, but little political will to take hard decisions on the greatest crisis of our time

There will be no us and them. No, it’s harder for you than for me. It’s going to be hard for everyone whatever way round it works. That’s the price for the climate carnage we have created. And continue to create.
