Welcome to 2024, election year – or more accurately ‘elections’ year.

If you’re an Irish citizen, you’ll probably be casting a vote in four polls this year (more of which anon). Meanwhile, elections in Britain, the US, Russia and possibly Northern Ireland, are likely to feature large in the news cycle over the next 12 months.
