Boris Johnson is a genius at trying to make his reaction to the story bigger than the actual story itself. In Trumpian-style, it partially works.
The story on Thursday morning, as some of Johnson’s fans saw it, was his description of the report of the House of Commons privileges committee into his Covid rule breaking behaviour as “a lie”, amidst a spew of near deranged attacks on those who had made the findings against him.
