Unless the party demands the resignation of Senator Bob Menendez, charged with bribery and corruption, the high moral ground which separates them from Trump and his ilk will all but disappear

The legal tribulations of Donald Trump have grown in recent months, as he faces 91 criminal charges in four US states, and the Democratic Party has been hoping that middle-of-the-road Republican voters might veer away from the strong whiff of criminality and corruption that envelops the former president.
