Fans of Cathal Friel will have been cheering last week after Hvivo, the Irish pharmaceutical services company he co-founded, announced that it was initiating an annual dividend policy.

The company, which provides end-to-end early clinical development services to its growing client base, is paying a dividend for the year of around £1.4 million, which equates to 0.20p per ordinary share.
