Ellie Donnelly: Blue skies ahead for aviation shareholders

The need for airlines to replace older aircraft is setting next year up as a bumper one for new orders

Avolon, the Irish aircraft leasing company, ended this year by confirming that its orders for 100 A321neo aircraft from Airbus, and 40 737 MAX aircraft from Boeing, are now unconditional, following approval by the shareholders of Bohai Leasing, Avolon’s majority shareholder.
