After decades of speculation and failed exploration bids for oil and gas, it is now widely accepted that Ireland’s greatest hope of achieving energy independence for the first time in the history of the state lies in offshore wind.

With an area seven times the landmass of the country, and some of the strongest wind speed factors in the world, the seas around Ireland hold an energy resource just waiting to be harnessed.
