Editorial: Heat needs to be taken out of debate in climate change culture wars

Farmers, the government, environmentalists and other stakeholders need to find a way to work together on climate change issues and achieve the best outcomes

The vitriolic reaction of farming groups to a throwaway tweet from the Environmental Protection Agency advising people to reduce their red meat intake was just the latest episode in an increasingly divisive culture war.

It should not be even vaguely controversial for an environmental agency to deliver scientifically backed advice.
